ROTEX EPOXY SYSTEMS FOR REPAIR AND STRENGTHENING OF MARBLE AND GRANITE SLABS.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Because of their fragility, stone marbles and granites are difficult to handle and often they must be restored. The following epoxy systems are ideal for filling cracks and veins in natural stones in marble, granite, limestone etc, either used clear or with colouring agents as per colour of marble. Application of the above epoxy system reduces breakage of marble and granite during handling and polishing operations by sealing small vein cracks and flaws in cut slabs. This epoxy system should be applied to the cut stone surface before calibration and grinding / polishing stage in marble production.
EP - 852/ EH - 367:( 3:1) : ( equivalent to Tenax BB10 resin / hardener 13/25).
It is a two component room temperature curing, 100% solids, clear, and very very low viscosity epoxy system for strengthening marble & granite. It has a very good penetration and is useful where fissures and cracks are very very thin and very high colour darkening is required.
EP - 852/ EH - 368:( 4:1) : ( equivalent to Tenax BB10 resin / hardener 11/25).
It is a two component room temperature curing, 100% solids, clear, and very low viscosity epoxy system for strengthening marble & granite. It has a very good penetration and is useful where fissures and cracks are very thin and very good colour darkening is required.
EP-306 /EH - 3404M( 4:1):(equivalent to Tenax Katter 100Gresin/hardener KKT ).
Epoxy system for resining marble & granite, where no colours change is required.
EP - 471/ EH - 301:( 100:10) : Low viscosity system for laminating slabs with reinforced fiber-glass.
Application Note: Ensure the stone surface is dry. The resin and hardener are taken in the proportional weights and mixed thoroughly. Apply the mixed material by pouring onto the stone slab. Spread uniformly over the area to be treated. Allow curing for approximately 24 hours.
SOLVENT FREE "ROTEX" EPOXY SYSTEMS FOR COATING OF RCC STRUCTURES IN AQUA UNITS
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Recent trends in aqua units are to protect heavy concrete structures against CORROSION in order to ensure long and trouble free life. Presents trends are use of epoxies and ROTO POLYMERS offers 100 % solvent less epoxy resin systems under the trade name "ROTEX" for the above application.
Salient Features:
Excellent adhesion. Absence of volatile and so almost nil shrinkage on curing. Excellent chemical resistance. Smooth and glossy finish with wide range of colours if required. Due to the above advantages "ROTEX" system finds wide application for use of corrosion resistant, smooth & glossy coatings in Aqua (Shrimp Hatchery) Units.
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS IN SHRIMP HATCHERY UNITS:
Basically most aqua units have the following set up, Larval rearing tanks ( L.R.T), Algal Tanks, Brood stock tanks, Main reservoir. The above tanks can be coated with solvent less "ROTEX" epoxy systems to prevent corrosion to extend the life of RCC structures.
RECOMMENDED MIX RATIO: The ratio of the resin to hardener can be varied to achieve the desired set of properties. The general recommendation is given hereunder. EP - 286FL (Resin) : 100 Pbw. EH - 462 (Hardener) : 50 - 60 Pbw. Potlife for 100 gms mix at Room Temperature ( 30°C) : Around 30 minutes.
